About "Allison Cassatta"

  1. Allison Cassatta

I am a married, 33 year old, female, with no children By trade I am a network engineer with far too many years under my belt My first book was published in 2010 by Kerlak Publishing, followed by a short story in 2011 through Dreamspinner Press I don t have any formal training, I simply write what I feel I have a vivid imagination and love building dream worlds for my readers to escape to I recently discovered that I am a hopeless romantic and that usually makes for some very turbulent stories As most know, love is a mountain and at its peak there s infinite beauty, but it s best appreciated after a difficult climb that s how I write The world would be a boring place if we didn t have to fight a little for what we wanted, now wouldn t it.

  1. Loosing both his job and the man he loves who walks out on him is hard enough for Presley, but add his need for control to a situation that makes him feel helpless, and it becomes a catastrophe It may not sound as if it should drive someone into as bad a depression as Presley ends up with, but he has OCD, and that changes the way he reacts The details of his condition and what it means for his daily life were an interesting factor in this story and added an edge that made the following romance a [...]

  3. I loved the idea of this book Presley has lost his very high paying job On the heels of that news, his jerk partner also leaves him, thus proving why he was with Presley in the first place After a mini breakdown that includes slicing up a four thousand dollar suit, Presley s sister Shelby demands he go for a vacation to see their parents, maybe get his priorities back in line Presley s discovery of the very hot Dr Camden Brooks is just what he needed to put some spirit back into his life Cam has [...]

  4. I really enjoyed this novella It moves along quickly because of its short length, which makes it great as a fun lunch time read, in my opinion Cassatta did very well with developing a connection to the characters and she s excellent with setting a scene and describing everything to make it easy to picture the characters and their surroundings.

  5. This review contains spoilers.I finally found some time to read this weekend and chose to read Allison Cassatta s Seasons of Change As per usual, I loved her writing style and even most of the minor characters had some life in them It was written from the point of view of the main character, Presley Aaron Howard on the name in a minute.Presley is an over achiever with OCD And that s putting it mildly He thinks his life in Pittsburgh is perfect until one day he loses his job and his boyfriend, B [...]

  6. 2 1 2 HeartsFirst published at MM Good Book Reviewsmmgoodbookreviews.wordpress Presley loses his job and then his lover walks out on him, his routine is broken and he is spinning into depression his sister pokes and prods until he goes to visit their parents at the beach and there he meets a man who gives him back some semblance of balance Cam is a doctor that has recently lost a patient he meets Presley on the beach one night, a man who helps him to forget and to look forward instead of backwar [...]

  7. This is a very cute story about losing the love of your life or so you thought and losing your job all in one day and then trying to cope with the now what I really liked the way the story moved along With everything he s been through, Season Of Change could easily have been about the main character Presley wallowing in self loathing for half the book That is not what happens Instead, with a little help from his sister, he goes to unwind in Florida and get his thoughts together Feeling desparate [...]

  8. I really felt bad for Presley This story started out with him getting shafted from every angle And I loved him hooking up with Cam while getting away But, I had issues with this romance I would have been okay with the quick hook up, but I think the story was just too short for me to really connect with either of of the main characters As well written as this story is, there were just too many unanswered questions at the end, for me to give it a higher rating.

  9. There is a bit of the ole insta love in this story about Presley, who has just lost his job and his partner in one fell swoop and Cam, the doctor he meets on a beach stroll while visiting his parents in FL I wish the story was a bit longer so that we got a better sense for Cam in this one, but it s very sweet.

  10. I loved the story The character of Presley is especially complex and warming for those who know about OCD and its severeties I enjoyed the banter with his sister and the feeling of being 12 again, every time you go back to visit your parents I cried a few times for our fave couple 3

  11. This novella is to idealistic and simply doesn t ring right I didn t connect with the story or even with the character The storyline is undeveloped and rushed For my own taste, everything happens to fast and to abrupt, which isn t enjoyable.

  12. This book moved along nicely I think it could have been a little longer, having interaction between the main characters, Presley and Cam Presley and Cam were both strong characters, which I enjoy in a book The story was sweet with a HEA.

  13. Allison writes yet another brilliant m m book I fell in love with the character s Allison brings real life situation s to her stories Heartbreak, new love, moving forward and finding joy You can t go wrong reading this book
